લંડનઃ લેબર પાર્ટીના રોશડેલના સાંસદ સિમોન ડાન્ઝૂકે લેબર ઉમરાવ લોર્ડ ગ્રેવિલ જેનરને ‘સીરિયલ ચાઈલ્ડ એબ્યુઝર’ ગણાવવા સાથે તેમની સામેના આક્ષેપોને કોર્ટમાં વાચા આપવા ન દેવા બદલ ક્રાઉન પ્રોસિક્યુશન સર્વિસની આકરી ટીકા કરી હતી. તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે લોર્ડ જેનરે પાર્લામેન્ટના ગૃહોમાં જ અનેક બાળકો પર અત્યાચાર અને બળાત્કાર કર્યા હતા. ડાન્ઝૂકે ઉમરાવ સામે કેસ ચલાવવો જોઈએ તેમ કહ્યું હતું. લોર્ડ જેનર સામે કાનૂની કાર્યવાહી ન કરવાથી ન્યાયના તમામ સિદ્ધાંતોનો ભંગ થાય છે. ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે ૮૬ વર્ષના લોર્ડ જેનર ટ્રાયલનો સામનો કરવા જેટલા માનસિક સ્વસ્થ ન હોવાના દાવા સાથે સીપીએસ દ્વારા કોર્ટમાં કેસ કરાયો નથી. જોકે, લોર્ડ જેનરે તેમણે કશું ખોટું કર્યાનો અગાઉ ઈનકાર કરેલો છે.

A picture has been released that of Lyace Ali, the Solihull dentist, who drowned along with his practice partner on a bank holiday trip to Malta. Lyace Ali and Mohammad Kamran Shabir, both aged 35, worked with each other at Bhandal Dental practice in Sheldon. A third man, Hussein Ahmed, also got into trouble in the water but survived. The three men were partners.

The merger move of Janata outfits may soon be junked formally with Samajwadi Party taking the stand that its six parties would retain their separate identities in an umbrella alliance.
