ભરૂચમાં ગઈ બીજી નવેમ્બરે સાંજે ભાજપ-સંઘ પરિવારના બે નેતાઓ શિરીષ બંગાળી અને પ્રજ્ઞેશ મિસ્ત્રીની ગોળીબાર કરીને હત્યા કરવાની ઘટનાએ ત્રાસવાદી કૃત્ય હોવાનું ગુજરાત એટીએસની તપાસમાં બહાર આવ્યું છે. આ ડબલ મર્ડર કેસમાં નાસતા ફરતા મુખ્ય આરોપી આબિદ પટેલ અને તેના સાગરિત સલીમ ઘાંચીને ભારત - નેપાળ સરહદના ગોરખપુર પાસેથી રાજ્યની એટીએસ અને કેન્દ્રીય એજન્સીઓની સંયુક્ત ટીમે ઝડપી લીધો હતો. 

વિધાનસભા ચૂંટણી દરમિયાન કોંગ્રેસ મહાગઠબંધન વિરુદ્ધ ચૂટંણી લડનારા ૪૫ નેતાઓ - કાર્યકર્તાઓને કોંગ્રેસે સોમવારે વર્ષ માટે પક્ષમાંથી બરતરફ કર્યા છે. તેમાં પૂર્વ અધ્યક્ષ રામજતન સિંહાનો પણ સમાવેશ થાય છે. તે ઉપરાંત અન્ય ૫૧ નેતાઓનાં રાજીનામાંનો સ્વીકાર કરવામાં આવ્યો છે.

The Bank of England governor Mark Carney has said that UK interest rates are likely to remain low "for some time". UK rates have been held at 0.5% since March 2009. Most economists are not expecting the Bank to raise rates until mid-2016 at the earliest. Mr Carney said that "even with limited and gradual rate increases it still will be a relatively low interest rate environment".
