લંડનઃ M15ના ડિરેક્ટર જનરલ એન્ડ્રયુ પાર્કરે બીબીસી રેડિયોને આપેલી મુલાકાતમાં સ્પષ્ટ જણાવ્યું હતું કે ૩,૦૦૦થી વધુ શકમંદ ઈસ્લામિક ઉગ્રવાદીઓ બ્રિટનમાં હુમલાઓ કરવાની યોજનાઓ ઘડી રહ્યા છે. M15અને ત્રાસવાદવિરોધી પોલીસ આ શકમંદો પર નજર રાખી રહી છે. તરુણો સહિત બ્રિટિશ સ્ત્રી-પુરુષોને હિંસા ઉપજાવવા ઉદ્દામવાદી બનાવાઈ રહ્યા હોવાનું પણ તેમણે કહ્યું હતું. ટેરરિસ્ટ વોચલિસ્ટ પર રહેલા ઈસ્લામિક શકમંદોમાં અડધાથી વધુ તો લંડનના પૂર્વ અને પશ્ચિમ વિસ્તારોમાં રહે છે, જ્યારે સાઉથઈસ્ટ, માન્ચેસ્ટર અને વેસ્ટ મિડલેન્ડ્સમાં પણ તેમનું મોટું પ્રમાણ છે.
