મૂળ બાંગલાદેશી નાદિયા હુસૈનનો ‘ગ્રેટ બ્રિટિશ બેક ઓફ’ શોમાં વિજય 13/10/2015 5:40 am Achyut Sanghavi લંડનઃ મૂળ લુટનની અને હાલ લીડ્ઝની ૩૦ વર્ષીય નિવાસી નાદિયા જમીર હુસૈન બીબીસીના ‘ગ્રેટ બ્રિટિશ બેક ઓફ’ ટેલિવિઝન કૂકરી શોની વિજેતા બની ગઈ છે. તેણે શોની ફાઈનલમાં બ્રિટનના રાષ્ટ્રધ્વજ યુનિયન જેકના ભૂરા, લાલ અને શ્વેત રંગોથી સુશોભિત કેક તૈયાર કરી હતી. આ વર્ષના ત્રણ ફાઈનાલિસ્ટોમાં નાદિયા ઉપરાંત, તમાલ અને ઈયાનનો સમાવેશ થયો હતો. તમાલની ચીકણી ટોફી કેક અને ઈયાનની વિશાળ કેરટ કેકની સામે નાદિયાની વેડિંગ કેક બાજી મારી ગઈ હતી. નાદિયાએ ૧૦ સપ્તાહના આ શોમાં ત્રણ વખત ‘સ્ટાર બેકર’નું બિરૂદ હાંસલ કર્યું હતું. તેણે ફ્લોટિંગ સોડા કેન અને અને ભવ્ય ચોકલેટ પીકોક કેક બનાવીને લોકોને ખુશ કરી દીધાં હતાં.
United we stand, Together we succeed 13/10/2015 6:25 am Rupanjana Dutta Shree Kutch Leva Patel community organised their annual mela at West End Roads, Northolt, London on Saturday 3 October. Organised for the last 40 years, the mela this year was attended by more than 8000 cumuniry members. There were over 400 volunteers, who ensured this event was a great success, proving the power in unity and community cohesion.
