Fragments of the world's oldest Koran, found in Birmingham last month could rewrite the early history of Islam, scholars are speculating. The pages that are believed to be almost 1400 years old, were discovered bound within the pages of another Koran from the late 7th century at the library of University of Birmingham.

One year on and thousands of visitors later, Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury marked its first anniversary with a week of exuberant celebrations. Sitting majestically at the top of Kingsbury’s hills, the Mandir, which is the London hub of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, has quickly become an integral part of its local community. 

On Tuesday 18th August 2015, the Zoroastrian Trust Funds of Europe (ZTFE), the oldest Indian/Asian religious voluntary organisation in the UK, celebrated the 109th Shahenshai Navroze (Parsi New Year) in London with pomp and splendour. On this auspicious occasion, the Chief Guest was His Excellency Mr Ranjan Mathai, High Commissioner for India, accompanied with his wife, Mrs Gita Mathai. Dr David Landsman OBE, Executive Director of Tata Ltd and former British Ambassador to Greece and Albania, accompanied with his wife Catherine Landsman of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, also joined the ZTFE in their 109th Navroze celebrations.
