Amar - stage name Dr. AAC - graduated from King’s College in 2012 with a degree in Medicine, but could never quite forget that it had been Music that was his first love: “I am a doctor (Radiology Registrar) by profession, practising for 3 years now” he told us “but I couldn’t feel complete without the singing/song-writing in my life. Music has always been there in the background. I am trained in Indian Classical Music, play the piano, guitar and harmonica, and have been singing since I was six, so I thought it was high time I brought them to the fore! I made the gutsy decision to take a year out and seriously pursue music, and so far I’m glad to say, it’s been a great adventure.” Amar’s music can be described as a fusion of Indian Classical, Bollywood and Western genres, and in April, Amar actually made it to the top 50 of a competition called the ‘Magical Voice of India,’ in Bangalore and Ahmedabad, after contending throughout with a total of 12,000 entrants. He has also played up and down the UK from Scotland to Southampton, at festive, boisterous Melas and on hire at more private events: “I’m delighted to have found work on both the public and personal platforms: it’s good to know that taking a risk with my passion is really paying off.”

ગોવાથી અમદાવાદ આવતી ફ્લાઇટમાં ૧૩ વર્ષની કિશોરીની છેડતી કરનારા લેબર કોન્ટ્રાક્ટર છે અને ગાંધીનગર ભાજપના ઉપપ્રમુખ અશોક મકવાણાની ૩૧મી મેએ સરદારનગર પોલીસે ધરપકડ કરી છે. મકવાણાએ પોતાનો પક્ષ રજૂ કરતાં કહ્યું છે કે, કદાચ સૂતી વખતે કિશોરીને હાથ અડી ગયો હશે, પરંતુ કિશોરી તથા તેનો પરિવાર પોતે કરેલી ફરિયાદ સામે અડીખમ છે.

વિશ્વમાં ટેક્નોલોજી સેક્ટર પ્રગતિના પંથે કેટલું હરણફાળ ભરી રહ્યું છે તેનું શ્રેષ્ઠતમ ઉદાહરણ ધનાઢયોની નગરી દુબઇમાં સાકાર થયું છે. દુબઈમાં થ્રી-ડી પ્રિન્ટર વડે બનેલી વિશ્વની પ્રથમ ઓફિસનો પ્રારંભ થયો છે. આ ઓફિસનું તમામ મટિરિયલ પ્રિન્ટર વડે તૈયાર થયું છે. આ પ્રોજેક્ટને સાકાર કરનારા નિષ્ણાતો કહે છે કે ફ્યુચર ટેકનોલોજી એટલે કે ભવિષ્યના બાંધકામો કેવા હોય શકે તેનો આ પ્રેક્ટિકલ નમૂનો છે. દુબઈ ફ્યુચર ફાઉન્ડેશન નામના સંગઠને આ એક માળની ઓફિસનું નિર્માણ કર્યું છે. થ્રી-ડી પ્રિન્ટર એ એક એવું પ્રિન્ટર છે, જેમાંથી કાગળની પ્રિન્ટ નીકળવાને બદલે નક્કી કરેલી પ્રોડક્ટ્સ બનીને નીકળે છે. મતલબ કે ઓફિસની છત, દિવાલો, ફર્નિચર સહિતની સામગ્રી પ્રિન્ટરના માધ્યમથી તૈયાર થાય છે! આગામી વર્ષે આ સ્થળે મ્યુઝિયમ ઓફ ફ્યુચર બનવાનું છે તેના ભાગરૂપે આ ઓફિસનું નિર્માણ કરાયું છે. બિલ્ડિંગ બનાવવા માટે ઉપયોગમાં લેવાયેલું મુખ્ય પ્રિન્ટર ૨૦ ફીટ ઊંચુ, ૪૦ ફીટ પહોળુ અને ૧૨૦ ફીટ લાંબુ હતું. તેને ઓફિસ બાંધકામના સ્થળે એસેમ્બલ કરાયુ હતું. કુલ ૧૯ વ્યક્તિઓની ટીમ એ પ્રિન્ટરના ઓપરેટિંગ માટે કામે લાગી હતી. પ્રિન્ટરોને આ ઓફિસનું મટિરિયલ બનાવામાં કુલ ૧૭ દિવસ લાગ્યા હતા.
