Raman Bedi was Chief Dental Officer – England from October 2002 to October 2005. He is Chairman of the Global Child Dental Fund. In 2005 he was asked to establish the Global Child Dental Health Taskforce. The mission of the taskforce was to support governments on how they can improve children’s oral health. In 2009 it was working in 13 countries. The Taskforce underwent a significant change in 2008 when it became a charity focused on the dental care of the most disadvantaged children around the world.

લંડન શહેરના પ્રથમ મુસ્લિમ મેયર સાદિક ખાનને નીસડનમાં આવેલા સુપ્રસિદ્ધ સ્વામિનારાયણ મંદિરની મુલાકાત ફળી છે તેમ જણાય છે. સાદિક મેયર તરીકે ચૂંટાયાના થોડાં દિવસ પહેલાં જ તેમણે આ મંદિરની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી. તેનો ફોટો સોશિયલ મીડિયામાં વાયરલ થયો છે. તેમણે મેયર બન્યા પહેલાં એમ પણ કહ્યું હતું કે ‘હું હવે પછી લંડનના મેયર તરીકે શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણ મંદિરની મુલાકાતે જઈશ.’

Surj Virk is the Founder and Managing Director of a brand new ale craft brewed to complement spiced foods and Indian cuisine – Empress Ale. Developing a passion for real ale and craft beers he became frustrated with the limited choice of lager when visiting his favourite Indian restaurants.  Determined to develop a new drink that complemented his favourite dishes Surj set to work with chefs, restaurateurs and master brewers to come up with the perfect Ale for spiced foods. After over a year of research, testing, tweaking and sampling - Empress Ale was born. 

Dr Abbi Lulsegged graduated from Guys and St Thomas Hospitals in London with a degree in Medicine. He went on to complete his medical training at University College Hospital, London, the Royal Free and Guys St Thomas’ Hospitals. He is a Consultant Physician with specialist interest in Endocrinology and Diabetes. He works for Kings College Hospitals. He was appointed fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in recognition of his service to his field and medicine in general. He has also been awarded clinical excellent awards again for his contribution to the care of patients. He lectures both internationally and nationally on a wide range of subjects which reflects his broad interests. He has an interest in management of unexplained illnesses, obesity and reversing type 2 diabetes when conditions allow.

સુરેન્દ્રનગર જિલ્લાના વઢવાણના વસ્તડી ગામમાં એક એવું મંદિર છે જ્યાં ચોરાયેલી વસ્તુ પાછી મેળવવા માટે લોકો માનતા માને છે. નવાઇની વાત તો એ છે કે જો ચોરાયેલી વસ્તુ પાછી મળી જાય તો તે વસ્તુનો ફોટો પાડીને મંદિરમાં ચઢાવવાની પ્રથા છે. વર્ષોથી ચાલી આવતી આ પરંપરાને કારણે આજે મંદિરમાં હજારોની સંખ્યામાં ફોટોઓ અને વસ્તુઓ એકઠી થઇ છે. આ મેલડી માતાના મંદિરે લોકો દૂર દૂરથી માનતા માટે આવે છે. વસ્તુ ચોરી થાય ત્યારે લોકો પોલીસ ફરિયાદની સાથે મંદિરમાં આવીને માનતા પણ માને છે.
