ક્વીન એલિઝાબેથ દ્વિતીયની ૯૦મી વર્ષગાંઠ સત્તાવારપણે ૧૨ જૂને ઉજવાઈ હતી અને તેના સંદર્ભે રવિવાર ૧૨ જુને ધ મોલ ખાતે પિકનિક લંચનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. વરસાદી માહોલ છતાં મહેમાનોના ઉત્સાહમાં જરાપણ ઉણપ જણાઈ ન હતી. પ્રેટ્રન્સ લંચમાં ૧૦,૦૦૦ આમંત્રિતોએ ભોજન લીધું હતું. શાહી પરિવારના સભ્યોએ મહેમાનો સાથે ૩૦ મિનિટ સુધી મેળમિલાપ કર્યો હતો. ક્વીને સંબોધનમાં વર્ષ દરમિયાન તેમને અપાયેલી જન્મદિનની શુભેચ્છા બદલ તમામનો આભાર માન્યો હતો. શનિવારે હજારો લોકો વાર્ષિક ટ્રુપિંગ ધ કલર પરેડ જોવા માટે ઉમટ્યા હતા.

હિન્દુ કોમ્યુનિટીના અગ્રણીઓના આમંત્રણથી વડા પ્રધાન ડેવિડ કેમરનના યુકે ઈન્ડિયા ડાયસ્પોરા ચેમ્પિયન, રોજગાર પ્રધાન અને સાંસદ પ્રીતિ પટેલે ગુરુવાર, ૯ જૂને વેમ્બલીમાં શ્રી સનાતન હિન્દુ મંદિર- શ્રી વલ્લભ નિધિ મંદિરની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી. પ્રીતિ પટેલ સાથે સાંસદો બોબ બ્લેકમાન, સુએલા ફર્નાન્ડીઝ, નુસરત ઘની, ડેવિડ બરોસ અને પોલ સ્કલી પણ જોડાયા હતા.

કરિશ્મા કપૂર અને સંજય કપૂર હવે સત્તાવાર રીતે અલગ થઈ ગયા છે. મુંબઈ ફેમિલી કોર્ટે ૧૩મી જૂને છૂટાછેડાને મંજૂરી આપી દીધી હતી. ૨૦૧૪માં તેમણે છૂટાછેડાની અરજી કરી હતી. તેમાં ઘણા વળાંકો આવ્યા અને બાળકોની કસ્ટડી મામલે ગૂંચ ઊભી થઈ. સર્વોચ્ચ અદાલતમાં પરસ્પર સમજૂતી થઈ અને એ મુજબ બાળકો કરિશ્મા પાસે રહેશે.

અત્યાર સુધી એમ મનાતું હતું કે અમિતાભની દોહિત્રી નવ્યા નવેલી નંદા શાહરુખના દીકરા આર્યનને ડેટ કરે છે પણ હવે એવા અહેવાલ છે કે તેનું અફેર લંડનના હેરી ગિલિસ સાથે છે.
