Indeed, having marked Holocaust Memorial Day on 27 January, the image of innocent Jewish communities being exterminated on a mass scale strikes a chord with many of us. In another vein, these distressing images also serve to remind us of something else, namely the danger of dogma and the perils that can befall innocent victims when ideologies are taken to their full extreme.
