આણંદઃ સ્વામી વિવેકાનંદજીના જન્મ દિને ધર્મજના જલારામ મંદિરના પટાંગણમાં ૧૨ જાન્યુઆરીએ નવમો ‘ધર્મજ ડે’ ઉજવાયો હતો. કંકુવર્ણા લાલ રંગની થીમમાં યોજાયેલા ‘ધર્મજ ડે’માં આ વર્ષે ધર્મજ ગામનાં પુત્રવધૂ અને લંડનસ્થિત આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય ખ્યાતિપ્રાપ્ત કલાકાર મીનાબહેન બીપીનભાઈ પટેલને ‘ધર્મજરત્ન’ એવોર્ડથી સન્માનિત કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા.

Leading the demonstration was MP for Bradford West, George Galloway: “I am here to defend the honour of Muslims, Islams and Muhammad” he announced in front of the Bradford Town Hall. “These are not cartoons, these are obscene insults to the prophet Muhammad (…) The backlash against Muslims is under way in France and the UK (…) It seems there are limits to freedom of speech in France. That's hypocrisy, not democracy.”
