લગભગ એક વર્ષથી વિશ્વભરને થથરાવી-ડરાવી રહેલા કોવિડ-૧૯ને કારણે આપણે સૌ ઘરમાં પૂરાઇને બેઠા છીએ, આપણે કયાંય હોલીડે, પાર્ટી કે સ્નેહી, મિત્રોને મળી શકતા પણ નથી. આવા સમયે બ્રિટન સહિત દેશવિદેશમાં સોશ્યલ ડિસ્ટન્સ અને લોકલાઉનના સરકારી નિયમો લાગુ કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. બ્રિટનમાં વિન્ટરી વરસાદ, ઠંડોગાર પવન અને અંધારિયા, કંટાળાજનક વાતાવરણમાં આપણને ઘરની ચાર દિવાલો વચ્ચે ટેલિવીઝન મનોરંજન પૂરૂ પાડી સમયનો સથવારો બની રહ્યું છે. એમાંય ખાસ કરીને આપણા નિવૃત્ત વડીલો, ભાઇ-બહેનો માટે ઇન્ડિયન ટીવી. ચેનલો પરથી પ્રસારિત થતી સિરિયલો વિટામીનની ગોળીઓ જેવી પૂરવાર થઇ રહી છે.
અત્યારે ઇન્ડિયન ચેનલો પર ગુજરાતી પરિવારોને લગતી ટી.વી સિરિયલો ખૂબ પ્રચલિત બનતી જાય છે. અત્યારે સ્ટાર ઉત્સવ ઉપર શાહ પરિવારની "અનુપમા" અને બીજી તરફ સોની ટી.વી ઉપર ગઢવી પરિવાર આધારિત "ઇન્ડિયાવાલી માઁ" ખૂબ ધૂમ મચાવી રહી છે. અડધા કલાકની આ સિરિયલમાં હવે પછી શું થશે? એ જાણવા ઉત્સુક સૌ સાંજે ૮.૩૦ વાગે ટી.વી. સામે બેસી જતા હોય છે. ઇન્ડિયાવાલી માઁ"માં કચ્છના હસમુખ ગઢવી અને કૌશલ્યા (કાકુ) ગઢવી અને એમના એકમાત્ર દીકરા રોહનની કહાની છે જેમાં એક ભારતીય, ગુજરાતી મા- જનેતા પોતાના દીકરા માટે શું કરી શકે છે એની ફરતે "ઇન્ડિયાવાલી માં"ની કહાની વણાયેલી છે. યુ.કે.સ્થિત ભારતીય, પાકિસ્તાની ભાઇ-બહેનો પણ "ઇન્ડિયાવાલી માં"ને રોજ સાંજે ટી.વી પર જોવાનું ચૂકતા નથી. આ "ઇન્ડિયાવાલી માં"માં કાકુની દમદાર ભૂમિકા અદા કરનાર આપણા ગુજરાતની બ્રાહ્મણ પરિવારની દીકરી સુચિતા ત્રિવેદીને દેશવિદેશમાંથી ભારે લોકઆવકાર સાંપડી રહ્યો છે.
"ઇન્ડિયાવાલી માં"ની અભિનેત્રી સુચિતા ત્રિવેદી ઘણીવાર લંડન પ્રવાસે આવ્યાં છે અને ગુજરાતી નાટકો દ્વારા લાઇવ શો કર્યા છે. લંડન પ્રવાસ દરમિયાન એમનાં બહેનપણી રશ્મિબહેન અમીનના ઘરે રોકાતાં હોય છે. ગયા શનિવારે અમે રશ્મિબહેનના સહયોગ સાથે મુંબઇસ્થિત સુચિતા ત્રિવેદીનો સંપર્ક સાધ્યો હતો. આવો આપણે સૌ રૂબરૂ મળીએ "ઇન્ડિયાવાલી માં" કાકુ (કૌશલ્યા) ગઢવીને.
રશ્મિબહેન અમીન અને અમે સુચિતા ત્રિવેદી સાથે કોન્ફરન્સ કોલ કર્યો ત્યારે તેઓ મુંબઇ બહાર એમના પતિ નિગમ પટેલના ફાર્મહાઉસ ઉપર હતાં. ૨૦૧૮માં તેઓ ઓડના મૂળવતની અને ત્રણ પેઢીથી મુંબઇમાં સ્થાયી થયેલા બીઝનેસમેન નિગમ અનિલભાઇ પટેલ સાથે લગ્નગ્રંથિથી જોડાયાં છે. “ગુજરાત સમાચાર" અને Asian Voice”ના વાંચકો સમક્ષ આપ સાથે થયેલ વાર્તાલાપને અમે રજૂ કરવા માગીએ છીએ એ જાણીને ખુશી વ્યકત કરતાં સુચિતા ત્રિવેદીએ ખૂબ લંબાણથી વાતો કરી અમારા પ્રશ્નોના જવાબ આપ્યા જે અમે અત્રે રજૂ કરીએ છીએ.
પ્રશ્ન: પ્રિયા મિશ્રા લેખિત અને ટોટોન કર્માકર દિગ્દર્શિત "ઇન્ડિયાવાલી માં"માં દીકરા રોહનને આપ માતા કાકુ તરીકે અત્યંત લાડ અને સગવડ આપી 'સ્પોઇલ્ડ' કર્યો હોવાનું દેખાય છે અને અમેરિકા રિટર્ન દીકરાની ભૂલોને નજરઅંદાજ કરો છો એ માટે આપનું શું કહેવું છે?
સુચિતા: ઇશ્વરે દુનિયાના તમામ જીવોને કોઇપણ સ્વાર્થ વગરની એક જ વાત્સલ્યમયી વસ્તુની ભેટ આપી છે એ છે મા. દુનિયાના તમામ જીવાત્માઓમાં માતૃત્વ એ દુનિયાનું સેલ્ફલેસ કેરેકટર છે. એ ન્યાયે આ સિરિયલમાં મા-દીકરાનું સેલ્ફલેસ બોન્ડીંગ બતાવ્યું છે. મા ગમે તેવા કષ્ટદાયી સંજોગોમાં સહન કરી પોતાના સંતાનને કોઇ તકલીફ ના પડે એ માટે બધું કરી છૂટે છે. આ સિરિયલમાં વિમેન ઇન પાવર મુવમેન્ટને બુસ્ટ આપી સ્ત્રીશક્તિકરણને દર્શાવવામાં આવી છે.
પોતાના દીકરા કે દીકરીની ભુલ કે નબળાઇ ખોટી ઢાંકપિછોડ કરી મારું સંતાન જ સાચું છે એવું પૂરવાર કરીને તમે માતૃત્વમાં બ્લાઇન્ડ ના થઇ શકો. કેટલીક માતાઓ દીકરાની વર્તણૂંક કે કેરેકટર તરફ અણદેખ્યું કરે છે. સોનિયા ગાંધીનો જ દાખલો લો ને!! આજે દીકરા એ દીકરા જ રહે છે, દી' વાળે એ દીકરી એવું સાબિત થઇ રહ્યું છે. પહેલાંના જમાનામાં મા-બાપ, દાદા-દાદીનો આદર થતો, સેવા-આદર થતો હવે જમાનો બદલાયો છે હવેના આધુનિક જમાનામાં પૈસાનું જ મહત્વ છે. આ સિરિયલમાં એ આધુનિક વિચારધારાને જ દર્શાવવાનો પ્રયાસ થયો છે.
"ઇન્ડિયાવાલી માં"ને ગઢવી કોમની કચ્છી મહિલા દર્શાવી છે એટલે કચ્છી ગુજરાતણ ડરે નહિ, એ ભલેને અંગ્રેજી ના આવડે પણ ગમે તે રીતે, ગમે ત્યાંથી રસ્તો તો કાઢી જ લે.
પ્રશ્ન: દીકરાની ગર્લફ્રેન્ડ ચીન્નમા સાથે તમે ખૂબ મમત્વ-પ્રેમ દર્શાવો છો એમાં લેખિકા સાસુ-વહુ વચ્ચે કેવા સંબંધો હોવા જોઇએ એ દર્શાવવા માંગે છે?
સુચિતા: જેને મા-બાપ નથી હોતા એવી દીકરી સાસુમાં માઁ શોધે છે. માઁ વગર દીકરીને કેવી ખોટ સાલે છે એવું એક કેરેકટર ચિન્નમા છે એને માતૃત્વની હૂંફ જોઇએ છીએ, એણે એક માઁ તરીકે કાકુ બરોબર સમજે છે.
પ્રશ્ન: આ સિરિયલમાં તમે મા તરીકે ખૂબ સરસ રીતે ભુમિકા નિભાવી છે. આ પાત્ર ભજવવા પાછળ તમારું કોઇ પ્રેરણાત્મક પાત્ર ખરું?
સુચિતા: (હસીને) મારી મા અને મારાં સાસુમાની કોપી પેસ્ટેડ છે. બન્ને મારાં પ્રેરણાત્મક પાત્રો છે.
પ્રશ્ન: કચ્છ-ભૂજની સ્ટોરી ઠેઠ બેંગ્લોરમાં દર્શાવવા પાછળનું કારણ શું?
સુચિતા: ખરેખર તો "ઇન્ડિયાવાલી માં"ની આખી સ્ટોરી ભૂજથી લંડન વચ્ચે દર્શાવવાની હતી. યુ.કે.માં લંડન બહાર કેમ્બ્રીજ નજીક જ્યાં ઇન્ડિયનોની વસ્તી ઓછી હોય એવા એરિયામાં દીકરો રહેતો હોય, એની ગલર્ફ્રેન્ડ ફોરેનર (ઇંગ્લીશ) હોય એમાં અમે કચ્છી કલાને લઇને યુ.કે,આવીએ એવું દર્શાવવાનું હતું પરંતુ કોવિડ-૧૯ને કારણે "ઇન્ડિયાવાલી માં"ની કથા કચ્છ-બેંગલોર વચ્ચે પ્રસ્તુત થઇ રહી છે. આ સિરિયલ દ્વારા કચ્છનું ભરતગૂંથણ, આભૂષણ, બાંધણી, છીટવાળું કાપડ ઇત્યાદિ કચ્છીકલાને પ્રમોટ કરવાનો પ્રયાસ થાય છે. આપણા વડાપ્રધાન મોદીસાહેબ આત્મનિર્ભર બનવા માટે પ્રોત્સાહિત કરે છે. તમે સિરિયલમાં જોઇ શકો છો કે અમે પશ્ચિમ જગતની કોપી કરતા નથી. કાંજીવરમની પ્યોર સિલ્ક સાડી ઉપર કચ્છી બોર્ડર હોય એવી રીતે દરેક હેન્ડીક્રાફ્ટ, હેન્ડલૂમ ઉપર કચ્છીકલાને દર્શાવવાનો પ્રયાસ કરવામાં આવે છે.
પ્રશ્ન: આ સિરિયલનું શૂટીંગ કચ્છ અને બેંગ્લોર જઇને કરો છો? શૂટીંગ માટે કેટલા કલાક કામ કરવું પડે છે?
સુચિતા: કોરોનાને કારણે બેંગ્લોર કે કચ્છમાં રહીને શૂટીંગ ના થઇ શકે. "ઇન્ડિયાવાલી માં"નું મુંબઇ બહાર નાઇગાઁવમાં શૂટીંગ ચાલે છે અને મારે રોજના ૧૨ કલાકની સિફટ ચાલે છે. મુંબઇથી મારે રોજ બે કલાક ડ્રાઇવ કરીને જવું પડે છે એટલે અત્યારે હું મારા પતિના ફાર્મહાઉસ ઉપર રહેતી હોવાથી મને સેટ પર જતાં એક કલાક લાગે છે.
પ્રશ્ન: તમે કેટલી ફિલ્મો કે સિરિયલમાં કામ કર્યું છે એ સવાલ પૂછું એ પહેલાં તમારા માતા-પિતા અને જે પટેલ પરિવારમાં તમે પરણ્યાં છો એના વિષે કંઇક જણાવોને?
સુચિતા: હું મૂળ ભાવનગરની વતની છું અને મારાં પિતા અનિલ ત્રિવેદી અને માતા ગીતા ત્રિવેદી જેઓ વર્ષોથી મુંબઇમાં જ રહે છે. મારાં લગ્ન ૨૨ સપ્ટેમ્બર ૨૦૧૮માં ઓડના નિગમ પટેલ સાથે થયાં છે. વર્ષો પહેલાં નિગમના પરદાદા ઝવેરભાઇએ મુંબઇમાં દુગ્ધાલય શરૂ કરેલું અને દાદા ભાઇલાલભાઇએ સરદાર પટેલ સાથે સ્વાતંત્ર્ય સેનાની તરીકે કામ કરેલું. મલાડમાં ભાઇલાલભાઇ ઝવેરભાઇ પટેલના નામે ચોક પણ છે. અમારા પરિવારનું ઘર ઓડમાં છે, હું પણ ઓડ જઇ આવી છું.
પ્રશ્ન: તમે કયારથી ફિલ્મક્ષેત્રે પ્રવેશ કર્યો? કઇ ફિલ્મ અને સિરિયલમાં તમે અભિનય કર્યો છે?
સુચિતા: હું ૭ વર્ષની હતી ત્યારે મેં નસરૂદ્દીન શાહ, અનિલકપૂર અને પદ્મિની કોલ્હાપુરીની ફિલ્મ "વો સાત દિન"માં અભિનય કરેલો. એ પછી "બા, બહુ, બેબી' સિરિયલમાં, ફિલ્મ લૈલા, મિશન કાશ્મીર, ઓ રે મનવા, કુછ કુછ લોચા હૈ, સૈલાબ અને ગુજરાતી ફિલ્મ 'વેન્ટીલેટર' ઉપરાંત ઘણા શો રિશ્તે, ગોપાલજી, એક મહલ હો સપનોકા, ચંદનકા પલના રેશમકી દોરી, ખિચડી અને સાવિત્રી જેવી સિરિયલોમાં અભિનય કર્યો છે. અત્યારે મને ઘણી ગુજરાતી ફિલ્મોની પણ ઓફર આવે છે પરંતુ અત્યારે એકતા કપૂરની બાલાજી ટેલિફિલ્મ "ક્રેશ"માં અભિનય આપવામાં વ્યસ્ત છું.
પ્રશ્ન: તમને સૌથી વધુ કઇ વાનગી ભાવે છે?
સુચિતા: મને સૌથી વધુ હાંડવો અને ઉંધિયું બહુ ભાવે છે.
છેલ્લે સુચિતાબહેને સૌને કોરોનામાં કાળજીપૂર્વક સુરક્ષિત રહેવા જણાવ્યું. "ગુજરાત સમાચાર"ના તંત્રીશ્રી સી.બી.પટેલનો આભાર વ્યક્ત કરતાં કહ્યું કે,”આપ સૌના આશીર્વાદ અને પ્રેમ થકી હું મનોરંજનની દુનિયામાં સફળતા મેળવી રહી છું.”
