Prime Minister Narendra Modi's state visit to Indonesia marked a significant step in strengthening bilateral ties, with India and Indonesia signing a series of agreements spanning defence, trade, critical minerals, agriculture and maritime cooperation.

During talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to expanding the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and enhancing cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.

છોટાઉદેપુર જિલ્લાના પીઢ આદિવાસી નેતા અને પૂર્વ વનમંત્રી મોહનસિંહ છોટુભાઈ રાઠવાનું આજે વહેલી સવારે તેમના વતન ઉમરવા સ્થિત નિવાસસ્થાને 82 વર્ષની વયે દુઃખદ અવસાન થયું હતું. છોટાઉદેપુર અને પાવીજેતપુર બેઠક પરથી સતત 11 ટર્મ સુધી ધારાસભ્ય રહીને તેમણે 55 વર્ષ સુધી લોકસેવા કરી હતી. તેમના નિધનથી સમગ્ર જિલ્લામાં શોકની લાગણી ફેલાઈહતી. આદિવાસી અસ્મિતા અને હક્કોની લડતને જીવનનું ધ્યેય બનાવનાર મોહનસિંહ રાઠવા શ્રેષ્ઠ ધારાસભ્ય તરીકે ખ્યાતિ પામ્યા હતા.

Reliance Foundation Chairperson Nita M Ambani received the AAPI Humanitarian Award at a ceremony in Tampa, Florida, in recognition of her contributions to healthcare, education, sports, culture and community development.

She was also presented the Key to the City of Tampa by Mayor Jane Castor, one of the city's highest civic honours, for her humanitarian and social contributions.

Entrepreneur and mental health advocate Anshula Kapoor married her longtime partner, screenwriter Rohan Thakkar, in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends. Anshula, daughter of film producer Boney Kapoor and sister of actor Arjun Kapoor, exchanged vows with Rohan on July 6 after several days of private pre wedding celebrations.

The wedding brought together members of the Kapoor family, including Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and other close relatives. Festivities began with traditional ceremonies such as a Mata Ki Chowki, mehendi and chooda, with family members sharing heartfelt moments and glimpses from the celebrations on social media.

બેરિસ્ટર મોહનદાસ કરમચંદ ગાંધી દક્ષિણ આફ્રિકામાં સત્યાગ્રહનો પ્રયોગ કરીને સ્વદેશ પાછા ફર્યા ત્યારે શું કરવું, કઈ રીતે કરવું તેની દ્વિધા હતી એટલે પૂણે ગયા. ગોપાલકૃષ્ણ ગોખલે તે સમયના ખ્યાત નેતા, તેમને મળ્યા. ગોખલે પાસે યુવા વકીલ મોહનદાસ કરમચંદ ગાંધીની દક્ષિણ આફ્રિકાની પ્રવૃત્તિ વિષે જાણકારી હતી. તેમની જાહેરજીવનમાં કામ કરવાની ઈચ્છા વિશેની વાતચીત થાય પછી એક સૂચન કર્યું, ‘મિસ્ટર ગાંધી, તમારે કોઈ પણ કામ કરવું હોય તો પહેલાં સમગ્ર ભારતનો પ્રવાસ કરો. દેશ અને સમાજને જુઓ, ઓળખો, આત્મસાત થઈ શકશો તો આપોઆપ રસ્તો મળી જશે.’

ભાજપના ટોચના વ્યૂહરચનાકારો પક્ષનું અને દેશનું રાજકીય ચિત્ર બદલવાના કામે લાગી ગયા છે. હવે તેમનું લક્ષ્ય છે લોકસભામાં 360નો આંકડો હાંસલ કરવાનું. આમ તો પક્ષના વ્યૂહરચનાકારો ગત 17 એપ્રિલના રોજ એનડીએને સંસદમાં મહિલા અનામત અને સીમાંકન સંબંધિત બિલ મામલે પીછેહઠ કરવાની ફરજ પડી હતી તે દિવસથી જ કામે લાગી ગયા હતા, પરંતુ હવે ભાજપે સંસદમાં બે-તૃતીયાંશ બહુમતી મેળવવાના પ્રયાસો તેજ કર્યાના અહેવાલ છે. પક્ષનું ધ્યાન માત્ર આ જ બિલ સુધી સીમિત નથી પરંતુ ‘એક દેશ-એક ચૂંટણી’ અને ન્યાયિક સુધારા જેવા મોટા બંધારણીય ફેરફારો માટે પણ તે જરૂરી બહુમતી હાંસલ કરવા માગે છે.
