સાયન્સ કોંગ્રેસ, સંસ્કૃત અને પૂર્વગ્રહ 12/01/2015 8:49 am Vikram Nayak હજારો વર્ષના ભારતીય ઈતિહાસનું યોગ્ય અને તર્કસંગત કારણોસર ગૌરવ થાય, વિજ્ઞાન સહિતનાં ક્ષેત્રોમાં એના યોગદાનની ચર્ચા થાય અને પરંપરાગત રીતે ભારતીય વડા પ્રધાન નામે નરેન્દ્ર દામોદારદાસ મોદી મુંબઈમાં મુંબઈ યુનિવર્સિટીના યજમાનપદે યોજાતી ૧૦૨મી ઈન્ડિયન સાયન્સ કોંગ્રેસનું ઉદઘાટન કરવા પધારે ત્યારે કેટલાક ભારતીય વૈજ્ઞાનિકો અને મીડિયાકર્મીને એની માત્ર ટીકા કરવાની ઝુંબેશ ચલાવવામાં રસ પડે ત્યારે દુઃખ થવું સ્વાભાવિક છે. બદ્ધેબદ્ધું પશ્ચિમમાંથી આવ્યું અથવા તો પશ્ચિમના દેશોએ પ્રમાણિત કર્યું એ જ સો ટચનું સોનું એવું માનવાવાળાઓની વૃત્તિ-પ્રવૃત્તિમાંથી બહાર આવીને ભારતીય દૃષ્ટિકોણની સચ્ચાઈને નાણવાની, પારખવાની આ ઘડી છે. એટલે જ અમને ૧૦૨મી ઈન્ડિયન સાયન્સ કોંગ્રેસની વાત કરવાનું મન થવું સ્વાભાવિક છે.
