રાજકોટઃ રાજકોટ અને દિલ્હી વચ્ચે લાંબા સમયથી વિમાની સેવાની જે માંગ હતી તેનો હવે સૈધ્ધાંતિક અને પ્રાયોગિક સ્વીકાર થઈ ગયો છે. જો કોઈ અડચણ નહીં આવે તો સંભવત: ૧૪ જાન્યુઆરી અથવા ૨૬મી જાન્યુઆરીએ રાજકોટ દિલ્હી વચ્ચે વિમાની સેવા શરૂ થશે. 

જામનગરઃ શ્રી નવતનપુરીધામ ખીજડા મંદિરના આચાર્ય કૃષ્ણમણિજી મહારાજના ૫૧માં વર્ષમાં પ્રવેશ પ્રસંગે ચાલી રહેલા સુવર્ણ મહોત્સવ દરમિયાન આ એક જ સ્થળે એક સાથે ૧૧૧૧ કિલો દહીં તૈયાર કરી પ્રસ્તુત કરાયું હતું. 

“I am not particularly bothered with this civil liberties stuff” announced Boris Johnson on the 11th of January in a statement to Sky News. The Mayor of London was responding to opposition from the Liberal Democrats about the introduction of a Conservative-led 'Snoopers' Charter' (more about this on p 7) catalysed by the Paris attacks. Johnson stated that the government had every right to want to monitor 'these people' and those who did not accept this should just 'go away':

PM David Cameron is supporting, Sajid Javid, the Culture Secretary of State's claim that Muslims have a “special burden” in the fight against terrorism. Speaking in the wake of the Paris shootings Javid, who has recently been tipped as future Tory-leader material said "all communities can do more to try and help and deal with terrorists, try and help track them down, but I think it is absolutely fair to say that there is a special burden on Muslim communities, because whether we like it or not, these terrorists call themselves Muslims (…) It is no good for people to say they are not Muslims, that is what they call themselves. They do try to take what is a great peaceful religion and warp it for their own means."

As general campaigns begin in the run up to the general elections, Conservative politicians have accused Labour leader Ed Miliband of exploiting the huge demands on the NHS system, including the poor service and attendance in A&E and the emphasis on shockingly long waiting lists. PM David Cameron called out Miliband's phrase 'to weaponise' in the Labour pledge to make the NHS the focus of their policies the "most disgusting phrase I have ever heard in politics (…) The leader of the opposition apparently said to the political editor of the BBC 'I want to weaponise the NHS'. I think that is disgraceful.
